hi i'm back after like a super long break, it was really like a crazy first term, but my main point is not to talk about that, as john would like to say "i'd rather not dwell in the past" LOL. i just got this strong urge to say this to anyone who is actually giving attention to these words now. i pray now that for anyone who even has stamina to finish reading this post that he or she will have something to think about and that (ok i should change to you) you will be changed by this post somehow you just know that God's trying to tell you something important when He tells you while you are enjoying fish head steamboat on a cold rainy day. well i kinda spent my day resting and praising Him because of the breakthrough He gave me.
then He lead me to this starting verse "For i know the plans i have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future" - jeremiah 29:11. note : when God points you to think about something seemingly insignificant, it does pay to pay alittle attention on it ^^. ghims told me on saturday that the verse was overused, kinda like so overused that people would be like "yea la yea la, i know that one" but ever wondered why God made it such an overused, often overlooked or even misread verse? He trying to tell us something, you may be a new convert, you may be shaky in your walk with Him, you maybe so on fire for Him He's the only one you see, you may be the guy standing in service every week wondering why you are even here. God wants to assure you with this overused words that He cares. AND He wants you to do something greater. one thing i thought of when i saw this verse was "well i know this, what's next?" this is what God is wanting to challenge us all in these times, now that you know His promises, for God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son.... with God all things are possible... trust in the Lord with all your heart and not lean on your own understanding.... if confess with your mouth, you'll be saved. and my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. what now? your salvation has been assured, you have lived for yourself for a whole portion of your life, fearing that if you yourself dont do well, no one is going to pick you up. well now these promises are probably already in you, or are just on the other side waiting for you to embrace them as you read these few words. now, you have been secured. one thing's for sure, living for yourself has become redundant, infact it has become contradictory to the Jesus "then He said to them all, " if anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself..." even a normal man knows that, living for yourself is never fulfilling. so now the question is: are you going to live beyond yourself? to the christians, to the non-believers, to the "i dont know what is happening in my life right now" people, are you going to live beyond yourself now that you know that everything you have is assured?
"greater love has no one than this, that he lay his life down for his friends" - john 15:8 when Jesus said those words, He knew He was going to be arrested and crucified for the world. but i was thinking "is He expecting us to do the same?". when then i had this thought, if i died right now and said it was for my friends, what good will it do in the long term? By laying down your life for your friends, including God, you begin to put down all your "needs" and you begin to put down the things you once called your "life", place them secondary and place God and His values first "for even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for man" - mark 10:45. hardly any religion in this world can match up to a faith so strong, that the Man behind the cross would be willing to not only forgive sinners, but to serve sinners the salvation they knew they yearned for. and today as a person living on this planet, you can do that. God is trying to tell everyone that we have the capacity to not only live for ourselves and just play darwin's game of survival. He provides a stronger case for contention and presents a gift of salvation that entails not only joy but also the chance to be the difference, to be unique, as unique as He makes every second, even moment sovereign and different. He presents us with a chance to live His version of your life, an extraordinary version. i dont know about you reading this today, but i feel a stirring in my heart that says, if i dont live for God and His people(us), i dont live for anything at all. but if i live for Him, it's like opening a new book, smelling the freshness of the pages and knowing that my story has been written, just waiting to unfold. everyone's heart has a spirit of adventure, a tugging in your heart that just yearns for more, would you give this Man a chance to respond to that tugging in your heart? if you live beyond yourself, you see beyond yourself, you see what Jesus has for you and you do things beyond what you can do. Jesus did it, He died on the cross for us because He saw eternal glory, through His mortal body it was not clear, but He held on to whatever He could see, just so He could change your life and give you a life led with so must passion for others He did it with mine, He can do it with yours. all this might seem distant to you, but if you read this far i just want to pray that you will be changed by it in anyway (hopefully positively) i know i'm not done yet, i know there's greater things for me because i am still learning to live beyond myself and see beyond this place in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ bless you, JUNDE |
